Slipstream — About
YOUR COACH

I've sat in the chair you're sitting in.

I'm Jeff Donaldson. I spent 30 years building brands and scaling companies from the inside. From Fortune 500 companies like Coors Brewing Company, growth rocket ships like Crocs Footwear, all the way to founding my own marketing agency.

I didn't start coaching because I read a book about it. I started because every CEO I knew was dealing with the same problem: they'd built something real, they were surrounded by people, and still felt completely alone while running the business.

Nobody on the payroll will tell you the thing you need to hear. Your spouse knows something is wrong but can't diagnose it. Your peers at the golf course are performing the same way you are. And the last consultant you hired gave you a 90-page deck and disappeared.

Slipstream exists because I got tired of watching good CEOs burn out inside companies that should have been running without them.

Built on systems that work.

I'm a certified Scaling Up coach. The work is grounded in the Rockefeller Habits, the methodology Verne Harnish built and more than 80,000 companies have implemented worldwide. It covers four decisions every company has to get right: People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash.

But methodology without operator experience is just a workbook. What I bring is 30 years of knowing what breaks when you actually try to implement it. Where the team pushes back. Where the CEO avoids the conversation. Where the numbers say one thing and the culture says another. That's where coaching lives.

I also integrate Patrick Lencioni's Five Dysfunctions of a Team, the sharpest tool I've found for getting leadership teams to stop performing alignment and start practicing it.

People

Right seats, right people

Strategy

Clear, differentiated, owned

Execution

Rhythm, accountability, rocks

Cash

Fuel for growth, not a leak

What I believe about growth.

Growth isn't a revenue problem. It's a drag problem. Companies don't stall because demand disappears. They stall because the operating system that got them to $10M can't carry them to $50M.

The founder becomes the bottleneck. Decisions slow down. Margins compress. Good people leave because they're not being developed. And nobody says any of this out loud because everyone is too busy doing their job to look at the system they're all inside of.

My job is to name what's slowing you down, show you the math, and coach you and your team through fixing it in the right order. Not the comfortable order. The right one.

The next step is a conversation.

No pitch. No slides. No prep. Just 45 minutes to talk about where you are and where you want to be.
